Campus Signage Project Reflection
Working on this project has shown me a lot about signage and how to properly present a sign. I found my sign in the Still Hall on the NIU campus. At first I thought it was an okay sign that had all the needed information and had it laid out properly. After further looking into the sign I began to notice that it had all the information needed, but it was laid out on the poster in a challenging way to understand. I also did not like the background of the poster as it was all black. My poster had to do with a group called Campus Missions International and had a meeting about how life is found in Jesus. Having the background of this entire poster being a black that looks like it could suck you up was not very appealing to the eyes. The poster also had the date slightly hidden in the middle of the page making it hard to find. Overall I think this poster could have been designed differently and a different color scheme could have been utilized to provide the reader with a clear understanding of what the poster is trying to convey.
